How do YOU deal with directors the first time you work with them? Is there time to chat for a few minutes and exchange pleasantries and get a "handle" on how they work or do you dive in and see where it takes you?

| It's always best to have a little "meet'n'greet" time with a previously not-known director - as well as anyone else connected to a pending performance - so long as time allows (including engineers, castmates, production staff and assistants). If there is no time, you've just got to listen to their description of what they're looking for, and Go. |
