Brought to life by the brilliant animation of Tony De Rosa, much of his strange nature is left to the viewer’s imagination - on purpose, of course. Who knows what sort of weird circumstances brought him from his beloved Paris to join up as a mercenary adventurer to find the Lost Empire? Who would really want to know? Fehh! The voice - as framed by directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale - embodies a lot of the character of a ‘sinister and creepy’ Peter Lorre, combined with the impish enthusiasm of Fantasy Island’s “Tatoo”. Within those parameters, I try to incorporate all the little comedic vocal tricks I’ve picked up from the old-timers over the years. Yes, he IS disgusting, but hopefully in an endearing way.
